Dr. Zaffar is a proud LUMS alumnus and a distinguished academic leader who was appointed Dean of SDSB in July 2025. He holds a PhD in Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with expertise spanning Business Information Systems, Operations Management, and advanced modelling techniques.
Before returning to LUMS, he taught in the United States at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and UNC Charlotte. At LUMS, he has served as Associate Professor, Associate Dean of Executive Education, and Programme Coordinator in Management Science, shaping both academic programmes and strategic initiatives.
As Dean, Dr. Zaffar envisions SDSB as a forward-looking, agile, and impact-driven school that bridges classroom learning with real-world industry needs, while nurturing inclusive, entrepreneurial, and socially responsible leaders.
