The Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL), LUMS, is pleased to announce a discussion on Flood Management in the Indus Basin: What is to be Done?
This discussion will explore the key debates on flood management in Pakistan, situating the recent devastating flooding events within the broader history of water governance in the Indus Basin. By tracing the evolution of strategies from the past to the present, the discussion will highlight both the limitations of conventional approaches and the emerging sustainable options for water management and use. The session aims to unpack how historical legacies shape today’s choices and what pathways can ensure resilience for the future.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Aisha Ahmad, Assistant Professor at SAHSOL.
