The Chaudhry Nazar Muhammad Department of Economics at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre at LUMS, in collaboration with the Bureau of Research and Economics Analysis (BREAD), IZA Institute of Labor Economics, the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex (IDS), the Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), the International Growth Centre (IGC), the Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR), and the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP), are jointly organising the “G²LM|LIC/Path2Dev/BREAD Academic and Policy Conference on Development Economics.”
This year’s three-day event will focus on cutting-edge research in development economics. From inclusive growth and inequality to public finance, education, labor, land, and climate, the conference explores the economic foundations of equitable development and effective governance in South Asia.
Our esteemed keynote speaker for the conference is Dr. Imran Rasul (University College London, BREAD, and IZA). A Chaudhry Nazar Muhammad Distinguished Lecture will be given by Dr. Sheheryar Banuri (Associate Professor of Economics at the University of East Anglia).
