The Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences invites you to a one-day symposium that brings together the lived experiences of patients, the expertise of medical practitioners and scientists, and the perspectives of humanities scholars to explore how storytelling shapes our understanding of illness, care, and recovery.
By centering personal testimonies and literary representations, the event seeks to illuminate the social, cultural, and political dimensions of marginalised health experiences and to consider how these narratives can inform both medical practices and policies.
An exciting group of speakers, including surgeons, AI specialists, creative writers, and representatives from NGOs, will lead discussions that foster an interdisciplinary dialogue on health, narrative, and representation.
