In our next episode of ALUMS Chat, we are delighted to host Reema Omer (BA-LL.B 2009), Senior International Legal Advisor for South Asia at the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), and a leading voice on human rights, constitutional law, and the rule of law.
A gold medalist and Dean’s List graduate from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Reema went on to pursue an LL.M. in Public International Law at the University of Cambridge as a Commonwealth Shared Scholar. She has since built an impactful career spanning international human rights advocacy, legal scholarship, and public engagement. At ICJ, she serves as the organisation’s focal person for Asia on the independence of judges and lawyers and has authored influential reports and publications on human rights and constitutionalism. She has also been appointed amicus curiae by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Islamabad High Court and regularly appears as a legal analyst on national media.
